Prime Minister Yingluck's declaration that her government does not recognise the Constitutional Court's authority to rule on the legitimacy of a bill opens a Pandora's Box that will let loose anarchy.
If,
for example, she calls an election in which all senators are elected - in
defiance of the court's verdict - that would mean that all laws passed by that
Senate would be illegal. Theoretically we could have people driving their cars
on the left, following the old set of laws, and others driving on the right,
following new laws. What a recipe for chaos!
If Yingluck believes certain judges are biased, and hence should have recused themselves, she should bring up the issue in accordance with established legal procedures. It is an obvious conflict of interest for her to decide unilaterally that she will not be bound by their verdicts.
